Don’t think about it any further.. if you are a mom and an entrepreneur and are trying to figure out where your business needs to go, THIS is the workshop for you.
I honestly went into the MomBiz Retreat thinking it would be great to catch up with a few lovely ladies I hadn’t seen in awhile while picking up a few ‘tips’ on how to manage my business.
I left the MomBiz Retreat feeling part of a powerful sisterhood of women who were all going through the same kind of experiences with their businesses…A group of women who completely understood working through the ebbs and flows of entrepreneurship while also working on being great moms.
I have never been to a workshop where I saw value in every module we went through: from who my ideal client was to where I need to focus my energy to the best way to create the earnings I want, Lara Galloway and Shelagh Cummins were outstanding in keeping the conversation relevant, on track and inspirational.
I don’t want to go into details as I wouldn’t do it justice, and I also highly respect the content Lara and Shelagh created and feel they deserve to get compensated for it. What I can say is that this retreat is going to change the way you do business, perhaps even change your life and provide you with such concrete courses of actions that it will be your own damn fault if you don’t succeed after this program.
At the start of the retreat you might have seen tired, lost, frustrated, overwhelmed and uncertain business owners.
By the end of the weekend, you will witness confident, powerful, determined, and energized women, ready to take on the world and kick ass with their business.
I work in sponsorships within my business so I am always keenly aware of companies and what they do with their sponsorships.
A major part of what I loved about the sponsorships that Mom Biz Retreat had was that each one was authentic, made sense to the audience and provided solutions for us, not just brands trying to push their product. There were a number of sponsors of the weekend but the ones that really stood out were:
Chateau Des Charmes
We had the pleasure of a personal wine tasting with Michelle Bosc from Chateau Des Charmes wines in Niagara Falls at the wine pairing dinner on Saturday night. We had the priveledge of learning the behind the scenes at Chateau Des Charmes and got to hear the ehind Generation Seven wines and how their entire strategy has developed via social media. Oh and the wine was SOOOOO good.
The UPS Store
The ladies from the UPS Store came as both sponsors AND attendees and did a fantastic job of making us laugh as they did a quick skit on the kind of frazzled, crazed business owner that comes in asking for business cards with a turnaround of an hour. You could tell they were used to this, knew how to handle this situation and totally convinced me that I need to go see them when considering my next print job.
We enjoyed Saturday pre-cocktails learning from Nancy Patterson of Arbonne, who talked about skin care and taught us make up tips and tricks that suited each of our faces and complexion. She didn’t talk at us, she made us all dive in and try out the products…it was fabulous and I am so ordering the holiday shadow collection.
Rawkette Custom Jewellery
Jessica Murphy, Creator of Rawkette worked with Lara and Shelagh on a special gift for the attendees of the retreat. A major theme throughout the weekend was to “OWN IT” and we each were surprised with a custom stamped key chain to take home with us. If you want to check out more of Jessica’s stuff, check it out here
Again, I can’t stress enough how amazing this retreat is..so much so that I can’t wait for the next one…Just have to decide if its going to be Chicago or the next one in Ontario. Either way, I know I’m going back.
The next Mom Biz Retreat is in Chicago January 27th-29th. Click here if you would like to register
